The importance of media in the contemporary time is in such a development that does not need more discussions about. At the same time Kurdistan as a connected part to this world and with the existence of freedom it is in day-by-day progress to media, as it evident from the increasing numbers of the Kurdish satellite TVs, newspapers, journals, websites and radio stations.

In this context, Standard Journal as a home-thought series springs out from the center of Kurdish concourse through recruiting journalists, writers from variety of thoughts and views. After two years of necessary works to consolidate the Standard Newspaper in parallel to its monthly Journal, it published 16 pages weekly. In addition, the Kurdish Standard website now serves a free electronic newspaper to the Kurds from all over the world to make them aware of the daily changes and news from Kurdistan.    

The continuation and progress of the Kurdish Standard curb on the extensive thoughts and views that presently reflected in both the Standard Journal and Newspaper. The multi-dimensional views have awarded a colorful character        to the Standard, which does not look like anything other than the feeling of patriotism. All the published critiques is only preordained to demonstrate full respect to the Kurdish civilians, and responsibility in guiding to the contemporary shortages that dictate solutions.   

Standard Kurd is a the home for all free views that request a bright future for Kurds, and the elements of functioning Standard Kurd are as follows:

If any organization or institution is not well based on some principles and goals it will certainly go on vain and unknown whom it serves. Even sometimes, its publications and products may become an arena for its nation’s antagonists. Thus, we have established some principles in order to measure all discussions, thoughts, views and observations that are published on Standard Kurd, they are as follows:

1. Correcting false views and misunderstandings

2. Reviving the unchanged Kurdish Culture and Tradition

3. Freedom and Democracy

4. The vital interest of Kurdistan

Based on the above principles, everyone is welcome to send us his/her articles to Standard for the sake of triumphing the above four principles and directions, and brightening the aims freedom of expression, although they are not the only conditions but rather are academic foundations for circumventing devastating the nation encouraging nation’s construction.
